American mezzo-soprano Annie Reilly is a recent winner of The Grange Festival Prize 2024 for her exceptional promise as an emerging young artist
Following training at the prestigious Royal Academy Opera in London in 2021, Annie has made debuts with the Royal Opera House Muscat, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera, English National Opera (cover), Waterperry Opera Festival, Longborough Festival Opera and as an Alvarez Young Artist with Garsington Opera.
Highlights include Zerlina in the Sir Thomas Allen production of Don Giovanni (Scottish Opera), Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (co-production Royal Opera House Muscat & Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa), Niña Sola in the UK staged premiere of Ainadamar (Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera), Second Lady in The Magic Flute (English National Opera cover, Royal Academy Opera), Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro (Waterperry Opera Festival), Helena in The Fairy Queen (Longborough Festival Opera), and Dorabella in Così fan tutte (Nevill Holt Opera cover, Royal Academy Opera). In concert, she has appeared as a soloist with the LA Phil, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and LSO Discovery in venues including the Barbican Hall and Philharmonie de Paris.
